Obama Add: Is It Fair?
Tonight at 8:00 PM, Barack Obama on all major networks will be broadcasting a 30 minute campaign add. While I agree with many of Senator Obama on many issues, I have to disagree with him on this particular issue. Money should not be a determining factor in the outcome of this election and Senator Obama has made it one. Obama will have 30 minutes to spread his propaganda, while McCain will not even have a chance to make a rebuttal. The essence of democracy should be equality. Each candidate should have an equal chance to spread his message; an idea clearly missing in the 2008 Election. Obama backed out of campaign financing, because he gained over 150 million dollars in doing so. With more money, Obama has been able to out advertise McCain in battleground states 5-1 and 4-1. In states that have come down to a thousand votes in past elections with vote differential, adds makes a huge difference. Now with this unprecedented air time, Mr. Obama is gaining another opportunity to spread his message, while Mr. McCain is left in silence. There is no way McCain can ever garner the same national audience as Obama. Thus Obama has used money to give himself an unfair advantage. Although many people have given to Obama's campaign more than any in recent history, the percentage of donors is well under 3 percent of the country. Yet these 3 percent are determining who gets the air time and thus controlling the election. This is not democracy!

Sarah Palin 2012

Some new theories have Sarah Palin intentionaly sabatoging the McCain campaign in an attempt to seek the presidency in 2012. What other reasons could their be for her constant disobediance to the McCain campaign. While she has strongly denounced these rumors, speculation has run rampant. I find middle ground. She knows she is going to lose and thus is looking out for herself and her career. She has the potential to be the leader of this party in the future and she knows it. Palin has much larger crowds than McCain and her audiences are far more energized. After the election if she adds to her record and studies foriegn policy more, who knows? We will have to wait and see.....

Sarah Palin: The Maverick in the McCain Campaign
While the McCain campaign has preached the idea of being a maverick as a good thing, they are finding themselves getting a dose of their own medicine lately. Vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin continues to act and speak freely, despite the concerns and warnings of the McCain campaign. Several McCain aides have referred to Palin as "going rogue" as of recently. After being controlled tightly early in the campaign, Palin is enjoying her new found freedom. In speeches and when addressing the press, she has no regrets with regards to speaking openly. She has gone against McCain publicly on a few issues including robocalls and withdrawal from Michigan. It does not get any worse for the Republican Party. Not only can Republicans not unify the country, they fail to unify their presidential ticket. They are going to lose more seats in both the House of Representatives and the Senate this fall. On top of that, Republicans are on the verge of being dealt the most humiliating presidential defeat in decades. The Reagan Revolution is over and dead.

Joe the Plumber to be Joe the Congressman?
The story of Joe the Plumber continues to transcend all logic. Joe Werzelbacher aka Joe the Plumber refuses to step out of the spotlight. Joe is considering a run for Congress of Ohio's 9th district in 2010. Although his chances prove to be slim, he has become the embodiment of the American Dream. One "average" man had the power to change a presidential election and now has the ability to win a congressional seat.
